SAKARYA

Sakarya city is an important tourism center in the Marmara Region. First of all beaches lies along Black Sea shores, lakes, rich forests and plateaus, valley and canyons, hot springs and mineral waters springs are natural values that Sakarya has. It has borders with the cities; Kocaeli on the west, Bilecik on the south, Bolu on It has borders with the cities; Kocaeli on the west, Bilecik on the south, Bolu on the southeast and Düzce on the east.
The Sakarya's climate shows characteristics between the Marmara Region Climate and the Black Sea Region Climate. Therefore winters are much rainy and less cold, while summers are hot. 

Sakarya Museum,is in Sakarya city centre on Semerciler Quarter, Milli Egemenlik Street, across the station, is established on an area of 1290m2 with the garden. The building that has been constructed by Major Baha Bey, Chairman of Military Service Office in three floors with the ground floor in 1910 - 1915, has been purchased by Hasan Cavit Bey, who was a close friend of Atatürk and a deputy. In the garden of the museum, the architectural parts found in the borders of Sakarya province, belonging to Roman and Byzantine Periods, grave stones, altars, stones with inscriptions, ostotech, cooked earth storage jar and column bases are exhibited. In the exhibition hall of the museum, a group of archeological works belonging to the Roman and Byzantine Periods and ethnographic works belonging to the Ottoman and Republic Periods are exhibited.
Harmantepe Castle,is located on the one hectare area of a little hill, upward site of Adapazari Harmantepe Village. Adliye Castle that placed 1,5 km south of Adliye Village depended to Adapazari, estimated that probably built as border protection castle.
Orhan Mosque, remains from Ottoman period at city center and Yunus Pasha Mosque 15th century Ottoman period creation at Tarakli. Elvan Bey Charitable building was built as a charity establishment in 1450, which today still preserves it's all properties. 
Ali Fuat Pasha Bridge, was built by Sultan 2nd Bayazit in 1495, and connects Geyve county center to Ali Fuat Pasha town, known as Sakarya bridge too.
Poyrazlar Lake, is an importance place in cities tourism with environs and in forest resort places. Akgöl Lake, a little bit inner Karasu holiday center of the Black Sea. Both places have beautiful landscapes.
Sapanca Lake, and environs that founded by tectonic formations of Sakarya, is a center that occupy especially weekend needs, recreation and resorting purposes of city center and firstly Istanbul and other cities of region, because preserving very interesting natural beauties and location ease of arrival to dense settlement places. In Arifiye forest at high's of Sapanca Lake, there are beautiful camping and picnic places present.
