Dolma Bahasa Palace

Is a unique masterpiece that combines Eastern and Western styles of architecture and interior design and is a testament to the attempts of the Ottoman Empire to open up to Europe's unique tourism experiences in Istanbul. The palace is located on the European side of the Bosphorus Strait in the region of Besiktas. The place where the palace was built was a natural harbor that was filled and flooded with soil at the beginning of the 17th century to become a special garden for the sultans. It was called "Dolma Bahatche" which means "stuffed garden". In 1843, Sultan Abdul Majeed I ordered the construction of the Dolma Bahasa Palace, which took 13 years to complete. The palace has three sections: the Peace Section, the Greeting Section, and the Harem Section. The palace includes 285 rooms, 43 salons, 6 Turkish baths and 43 toilets. Used in its construction 14 tons of gold, 60 tons of silver, and it is the world's largest and weighing 4.5 tons. You can enter the palace with groups and with a guided tour, not allowed to shoot inside the palace, you can only photograph the garden and the exterior of the palace, and usually take this amazing tour in all its details from two hours to three hours.
